Platform Context
Shippabo View is an integrated supply-chain visibility platform designed for suppliers and global logistic teams. It offers seamless freight services, workflow integration, and real-time insights.
Project Context
Shippabo Dashboard 2.0 serves as a central hub, allowing users to curate real-time supply chain data into comprehensive views.
Alongside shipment details, diverse filtered widgets offer insights such as industry news, local time zones, message threads, and more.
These elements blend shipment specifics with global and social insights, providing users with engaging, multi-layered information beyond mere data reception.

Problem with the current Tables
Global filtering system restricts users' ability to personalize their dashboard experience, limiting accessibility.
Limitation of Global Filters
High-Level Data, Limited Visualization Options
Minimal customization options and presentation of high-level data discourage users from starting their day, leading to minimal time spent and low engagement.
✴︎ Highlights ✴︎

Takeaway
Memorable moment
One unforgettable experience was leading ideation sessions, which not only broadened my own design perspective but also opened up new possibilities beyond my initial concepts. Collaborating with a diverse, cross-functional team enriched the process with valuable insights from experts in various fields.
An additional source of pride came when I learned that my ideation workshop methods had a ripple effect. Marketing team adopted these methods for their own projects and they loved it! It brings me joy to share design techniques, making design accessible to everyone and fostering a creative culture.
What I learned about myself
In creating over 20 unique widget experiences, maintaining their cohesiveness presented a significant challenge. Establishing global behaviours that harmonized the entire user experience was a crucial step toward achieving a seamless dashboard interface.
Despite the initial challenge of building numerous widgets, I discovered a passion for establishing frameworks and creating building blocks. By constructing multiple components, I developed a versatile reference library that allowed me to design with both constraints and flexibility in mind, turning what seemed overwhelming into an enjoyable and structured process.
If I could go back
The journey of redesigning my original dashboard was an enjoyable challenge, as any designer will attest that design iterations are perpetual, always evolving toward better solutions. While Dashboard 2.0 marks a successful milestone, I recognize the continuous potential for improvement.
If I could revisit certain decisions, I would delve deeper into researching different widget types, optimizing data visualizations for specific data scenarios, and enhancing inclusive design through improved color contrast and accessible font choices.
